Today’s theme at TNChick’s PhotoHunt made me think of ma mere which is French for “my mother.” La mer means “the sea” in French, and I assume that’s where we get our English word “marine.”
Today, our carnival hostess is highlighting the devastation caused by the floodwaters of “mother nature” in Nashville, Tennessee. She’s asking readers to pray for the many people who have lost family, pets, animals, homes, and jobs.
Then I began to think of “the mother of HTML tutorials”… which is coming in a couple of weeks. Please check back again.
Today, in response to a reader’s request, I’d like to cover something much easier: italics.
How to Italicize a Word
When you leave a comment, Blogger allows you to bold or italicize a word or phrase, and even insert a link. For instance, if you want to italicize a word, simply put the tags <"i"> and <"/i"> around your word(s).
Example: <"i">INSERT YOUR WORDS HERE<"/i">
(NOTE: Be sure to remove all four sets of quotes.)
Click PREVIEW before you publish your comment to see if you've used the tags correctly. Your word(s) should appear slanted. If not, no one will know and you can try it again!
Your Mission... Should You Decide to Accept It
Today, your challenge is to try using this set of HTML tags in my comment box. Just jot down a few cheery words, and surround them with these tags. If you goof up, no problem.
