Word-Filled-Wednesday. Isaiah 46:4

I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. (Isaiah 46:4 NLT)

Seeing your picture with the verse i remember a poem about God gui-DANCE us our whole life.....!
This is the poem...

GUIDANCE

When I meditated on the word guidance,

I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will

is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead,

nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,

and everything is quite uncomfortable

and jerky.

When one person relaxes and lets the other

lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues,

perhaps with a nudge to the back

or by pressing lightly in one direction

or another.

It's as if two become one body,

moving beautifully.

The dance takes surrender,

willingness, and attentiveness from one person

and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word guidance.

When I saw "G," I thought of God,

followed by "u" and "i."

God, "u" and "I" dance.

God, you, and I dance.

This statement is what guidance means to me.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust

that I would get guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

Oh I love that verse! God showed it to me a few months ago when the economy started to destroy our
401K! He told me that he has carried me from before I was born. He will carry me through my gray hairs. It was such a wonderful mountaintop moment. I still get discouraged sometimes, but I know who holds my future!

What a great comforting thought, and the best part, we know it is true, because our God is a God that keeps promises.

Have a blessed day!

i am mostly just fine with my single status... except when it comes to this. i love the idea of "mature love"... the thought of couples that have been together over the years and are withstanding the test of time. God is good♥
