Jesus is Seen Alive After His Brutal Execution
Easter celebrates the immense power of God Himself. To believe Jesus Christ rose to life after His violent crucifixion is to believe in a magnificent and omnipotent God. If God exists, and if He created the universe, He has authority and the power to breathe new life into lifeless things. If He does not have this power, He is not a God who is worthy of our worship. Only God who created life in the first place can revive it. Only He could reverse the hideousness of Jesus' death.
Christian Believers are Promised Life After Death
Easter is also a celebration of the future resurrection of Christian believers. Unlike every other religion, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcended death. Jesus Christ graciously offers the free gift of unending life to those who believe in Him. All other religions were invented by men whose fate was the same: the grave and a tombstone.
Jesus Christ is Still Alive in Heaven Today
Christians are unique in their belief that God visited earth as the man, Jesus Christ. Falsely accused and undeserving, Jesus willingly accepted capital punishment on behalf of imperfect, sinful human beings. Substituting Himself in our place, Jesus Christ was crucified, and then rose to life on the third day after his death. Clothed with a glorified immortal body, Jesus Christ is still alive today; after appearing to many witnesses, His followers watched as He ascended to the sky and then disappeared into heaven.
Jesus Christ Will Return To Earth
Christians believe that teachings found in the Bible were inspired by God; it is our foundational source of information about Him. Surprisingly, the Scriptures promise the return of Jesus Christ to earth—at the end of history as we now know it. On that amazing day, believers in Jesus who have already died will rise from their graves alive and immortal. Those who are still living will be instantly transformed and given brand new, glorified bodies. It’s an exciting hope!

Amen! Happy Easter to you!
Much love,
Angela
e-mom...it's amazing to me how I can fellowship with Jesus with you in the Spirit just by reading your blog posts! I can't wait to meet you someday...even in our resurrected bodies! What an amazing hope...odd and offensive as it is to the world.
The world, chiefly my husband, is on my heart today. My joy in the Lord is an offense to him that he's restrained from vocalizing for the past three years, but recently he's begun to vocalize how rediculous he deems my faith in Christ to be.
As I celebrate Easter with my sons, please pray for me to be courageous and humble, and for God to remove the blinding of my husband...that he might see Jesus for who He is! And for my sons too! They see the division between my husband and I when it comes time to go to church or thank God at the table...etc.
Happy Easter to you!
Lots of hugs!

Thank you for your post. I am so thankful to know the story and to believe it.
Saying a prayer for Sheila's husband and sons. May God bless your family with His wisdom!
Easter is such a great time for Believers.
Happy Easter e-Mom.
Wishing you and yours a Christ-filled Easter!
Warmly,
Mandi
Hi e-mom just wanted to drop by and thank you for the e-card you have no idea how those scriptures ministered to me - or maybe you do. You are a much loved sister in Christ.
He is Risen!!!!
Angela, Sheila, Connie Marie, Mandi, & Living Beyond: You are precious sisters in Christ. I thank God for each one of you. May you have a joyous Easter weekend with your families. He is Risen. He is Risen indeed!
Sheila: You and your unsaved husband come to mind frequently. I pray for you when that happens. Your passion for the Lord is so evident, and yet, I can understand how that might be offensive to those near and dear who don't know Him.
Lord, give Sheila wisdom, restraint, boldness, peace, and carefully chosen words. Let your Spirit speak through her, and let your light shine brightly in her marriage relationship. Help her to bear up under her husband's criticism. I ask these things in your precious name, Amen.
