Ladies, you are true leaders in your respective spheres. I bow down in honor. This month, you tackled the very difficult topic of divorce unflinchingly, with sensitivity, and with aplomb. Thank you for sharing your vulnerablity, relevant Scripture verses, your experiences, and your convictions. Each and every post was an encouragement and a joy to read.
I'm so glad we've met through cyber space, and some day I look forward to meeting you in heaven. Won't that be glorious?
We Serve a Loving God of Mercy and Grace
When thinking about divorce from God's point of view, I try to keep in mind that we can't hold unbelievers to Scriptural standards. And even as Christians, we all fail in a myriad of ways, despite the power available to us through the Spirit. That's where forgiveness comes in. Our God is a God of redemption and reconciliation.
No one is beyond the forgiveness of God—even divorced Christians. However, there will be negative consquences in this life, and that is the tragedy.
There is Now NO Condemnation
Yes, we all blow it but our eternal position is secure. Whoo hoo! "There is now therefore NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" because, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
(Rom 8:1; 1 John 1:9) Go in peace!

Aplomb~ what an awesome word. I glean so much from you E-mom!
I always enjoy your blog! Thanks for making this platform of discussion an accessable place of learning for us!
i love you emom. and i LOVE your mothers heart.
Thank you!
Yes, I think it's very important that we all remember there is no "worst" sin - no matter what someone has done in the past, we are no better than they are and vice versa. It pains me to see people who have been divorced ostracized from the church because of it - how is that biblical? Anyway, thanks for hosting. It was difficult, but good.
Yes you are a model of grace and a tremendous encouragement... a true mom in Jesus! Thanks e-mom!
I love looking at scripture and reading about messed up lives like David's that God cleansed, covered and forgave. The consequences are terrible to the choices we make, but God's mercy and grace is so great, and it doesn't make me want to take His forgiveness lightly, it just makes me want to live a thankful life!
I love the flowers by the way!
Bless you!
Sheila
I'm gonna go look up aplomb :-)
YES! I also am thankful for forgiveness. Great idea to follow-up the divorce topic with this post. It is true that when we sin we reap the consequences of it. Just like eating way too much without exercise - !!!!
TamiB Amen, sister. :~D
Susan: You're very sweet. :~D I'm Blessed to know you too. (Lol, I better go look up "aplomb" and make sure I used it correctly.)
Amydeanne: You're more than welcome. We all learn together, don't we?
Roo: Thanks so much. ~D
Jana: Yes to this: it's very important that we all remember there is no "worst" sin - no matter what someone has done in the past, we are no better than they are and vice versa. Absolutely. A good word. :~D
Sheila: You always have tremendous insights into Scripture. I like the way you put this: . The consequences are terrible to the choices we make, but God's mercy and grace is so great, and it doesn't make me want to take His forgiveness lightly, it just makes me want to live a thankful life! Bless you!
Connie Marie: Lol, I'd better go out for my daily walk now. :~D
That was a great part two. I almost feel the need to post a part two as well. This topic is so emotional. :)
Thanks e-mom!! You have no idea how much I love fresh flowers!!
You're right, that topic was extremely tough. I am hoping I did not offend my divorced parent with my stance but I am called to speak the truth.
After all of that, I'm looking forward to next month!!
Thanks for the flowers! :)
I enjoyed the posts too. Many talented writers. I cannot to wait all of them too in heaven one day or possibly here on earth too!
Blessings,
Angela
